Consumer Zombies

So art school has a way of making one step back from the world and observe it for what it really is. This can be a tricky process though because ultimately all of us view the world through our own lens and usually we see what we want to see. I was in a pretty dark period of my life when I made this and I think basically I was really pissed off. Can’t really remember at what tho…Anyways – ;)

Concordenaux

This was the first sculpture where the process seemed to “click” for me and I realized I possessed an intuitive knowledge of arranging three dimensional form. It wasn’t until years later with the introduction of Modo that I was able to translate this process into digital one. Likewise this is why this work is categorized under 3D Design as opposed to sculpture because I tend to approach 3D modeling like I’m sculpting with clay as opposed to arranging polygons.
